Wafood Made Sake Lees Face Wash 170g is a dull-skin brightening foam cleanser for normal and dry skin β using double-concentration Sake Kasu (ι η², rice wine lees) extract alongside Arbutin and Rice Ceramide in a mochi-textured dense foam with fine rice powder for gentle physical exfoliation at the wash step. Designed for skin that looks grey or flat after cleansing and needs brightening at the first step of the routine.
How it works: Sake Kasu contains concentrated Ferulic Acid (brightening antioxidant), Kojic Acid (tyrosinase inhibitor), and fermented amino acids that deposit onto the skin surface during foam contact. The rice powder provides surface exfoliation that removes the oxidised dead cell layer that contributes to dullness β making the active ingredients in the sake lees more accessible to the freshly revealed skin surface. Together they create a meaningful brightening effect at the cleansing step that carries through to make subsequent toners and serums more effective.
Wafood Made Sake Lees Face Wash vs Kikumasamune Sake Face Wash: Both are sake-based cleansers. Kikumasamune uses filtered sake liquid with Crystalline Cellulose adsorption for thorough sebum removal. Wafood Made uses concentrated Sake Kasu lees (higher active concentration) with Arbutin and rice powder for brightening-focused washing. For brightening priority, Wafood Made. For pore-cleansing priority, Kikumasamune.
