Processing & "The Scouting Phase"

Because we prioritize freshness over warehouse convenience:

Standard Processing: 1–3 business days.
Our Method: We don't hold old inventory. After you order, we head out to Tokyo’s boutiques to hand-pick your items. This ensures you receive the newest formulations and the longest expiry dates available.

The "Eco-Split" Parcel Strategy

To ensure the safest transit and most economical rates, orders exceeding 2kg (approx. 4.4lbs) may be divided into multiple carefully packed parcels. You will receive tracking for each, and they may arrive 1–2 days apart. This strategy also helps minimize potential customs duties for you.

Customs, Duties & Taxes

As all orders are shipped directly from Japan, your local customs authority may apply duties or taxes.

All US orders already include custom duties on checkout, so you do not have to pay extra charges.

For other countries these charges are determined by your government upon arrival and are the responsibility of the recipient. We provide accurate documentation for every shipment to minimize unexpected charges.

Tracking Your Order

Every Tokyo Shelf parcel is 100% tracked. You will receive a confirmation email with your tracking number as soon as your items have been scouted and dispatched.

Delays & Delivery Issues

While most orders arrive precisely on time, occasional delays can occur due to customs inspections or seasonal postal demand. If your order is significantly delayed, contact us at support@tokyoshelf.com and we will investigate immediately.
