Pelican Deitanseki Body Scrub Soap extends the iconic Deitanseki charcoal range to body use — a solid bar scrub that can be used directly on skin without lathering, targeting dark patches on underarms, elbows, knees, hips and heels with a combination of charcoal, clay and natural scrub components. Sold at Matsumotokiyoshi and Japanese drugstores as the body-use sibling of Pelican's bestselling charcoal face soap.

The formula builds on the Deitanseki foundation: microfine charcoal and bentonite clay draw out sebum and surface buildup, while konjac (mannan) and bamboo (bambusa arundinacea) stem extract provide two textured scrub surfaces for physical exfoliation. Camellia oil softens as you cleanse. Unlike most body scrubs, this bar produces a light foam when wetted — so it can double as a regular body wash or be used dry-bar style for targeted spots.
